They said the two dollar note was cursed and "unlucky" because of it. Contrary to popular belief, however, it might really bring good fortune and a few grand.


Many Americans have always looked down on the $2 bill, seeing it as the neglected stepbrother of the $1 dollar. Some people even believe that two-dollar notes are unheard of, no longer produced, or no longer in circulation.

This $2 note has been considered "unlucky" or "ugly to use in cash exchanges" throughout the majority of its existence, according to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).
People who were superstitious and tried to reverse the curse by ripping the corners off notes, which made them "mutilated currency and unfit for reissue," as the BEP puts it.


But there are $2 bills that might be worth thousands.

 

Gaining immense wealth
The $2 bill includes Jefferson's likeness on it, but there have been a number of modifications to the note, both on the front and the reverse, including the photo's size, positioning, and the addition of colors.



Furthermore, the actual value of some of these bills may be much higher.
