Cookie Recipe: Butter Pecan

If you bake nothing else this season, you’re going to want to place these southern cookies with pecans high on your must-bake list and make them for a Christmas cookie exchange! Ensure you don't overlook these!

Ingredients 1 cup pecans, chopped
salted butter, 7 tablespoons
1/3 cup sugar, finely chopped
One cup of brown sugar
two eggs
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla flavoring
two cups all-purpose flour
baking soda, half a teaspoon
salt, just a sprinkle
Half of a pecan for garnishing each cookie

Two baking sheets should be lined with parchment paper and the oven should be preheated at 350Âş.

The next step is to use an electric mixer to whip the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until the mixture is fluffy and light.

Incorporate the eggs and vanilla essence, and continue to beat for an additional two minutes. Combine the salt, baking soda, and flour right away.

When done, arrange the balls, using a medium cookie spoon, on the prepared baking sheets and add half a pecan on top of each cookie. After 10–15 minutes in the oven, the bread will get a golden brown color. Finally, chill the cookies on a wire rack.
